I feel like the book I’ve been writing since mid-October has been one long exercise in how to write while distracted. Initially I thought about holding off the writing till the Major Distraction was over, but deciding against that plan was a good idea–the Distraction is still going on, I’m not sure how long it will last, but I’m 50K into the novel now.
