Feeling better, largely due to an uninterrupted intake of Sudafed, I suspect. Thankfully, Hobkin hasn’t evidenced any more signs of feeling ucky.
I’ve mentioned before how much I love the building I now work in, the Georgia Capitol building. glenn5 and I went sightseeing on the 4th floor during our lunch hour on Friday, and I took pictures. The 4th floor houses a natural history/Georgia history museum, so in addition to being a beautiful feat of architecture, it also has on display some oddities and curiosities, including a two-headed calf.
These are the stairs I take every day to get to my office. Note the bust of James E. Oglethorpe in the lower left corner.

I just love how NOT corporate the furniture is. Everything in the Capitol is seeped in classic elegance.
And here’s where I work. I find the faux wooden paneling charming. So much nicer than the corporate cubicle walls that adorned my old day job, but glenn5 rolls his eyes and mocks my delight in it, to which I say, “Tbttth!”

– Shaking out and dusting off the collaboration story I’m doing with mtrimm1, who has every right to lunge at me with spork bared whenever we meet in person for how long I’ve taken on this project. Agh, I suck.
I’m glad you’re feeling a bit better. I am, too, despite running myself ragged with errands yesterday.

OMG! You work in a building designed by MC Escher! Stairs like that always make me think of that painting.
Hee! I hadn’t noticed before–normally, I’m too busy panting and puffing up them to notice–but there is a definite Escher-esque configuration to the stairs.

It certainly adds a certain whimsical oddness. There’s also a two-headed snake (it’s very small), but I didn’t get a good picture of it.

And yah, I’ve got plenty of free time right now to crank out words and catch up on my other editorial obligations, but I have been duly warned that things get a lot more stressful and hopping when the legislature is in session come January.
Rabbits and kangaroos
Well, when things get “hopping” in January, you’ll be ready with your super-kangaroo abilities and master hamster-juggling acumen, although it wouldn’t hurt to take a dip in some cosmic sludge before then. I have every confidence in your survival potential even without the sludge dip, however.

Amazingly enough, I do! It’s a nice change. The commute’s a bit painful, but even that has its perks.
