Session ’07, Languishing in Recess

Saturday night, fosteronfilm and I partook of the excellent hospitality of the Eleys (escapepodcast) in their ongoing “Single Malt Who” shindigs. We watched the season 2 finale of Doctor Who, ate veggie burgers, and sampled scotch. Well, other folks sampled the scotch. I stuck with soda. But I think I’m still zoned from session-related stimuli. My brain’s on perpetual low beam. Sigh.

As advertised, here are some of my favorite pix from the Girls of Dragon*Con charity calendar photo shoot we did at Grant Park:

And here’s a group picture of the calendar girls (one of us, Jill, is absent as she had to be late to the shoot):

very sexy. but then you already knew that. ;D

  2. Yes, sexy indeed. Thanks for sharing. 🙂

  3. Congratulations on both reprint sales! That’s fantastic.

  4. keesa_renee says:

    Ooooohhhh! Pretty! Me likey!

Eugie, can you give me the name of the anthology where “Souls of Living Wood” appeared? I thought I had it saved to my Amazon wish list, but now I’m not seeing it…

  5. Once again, I have proof that I work for the prettiest director at Dragon*Con. 🙂

  6. Ooh, you look GORGEOUS in those pictures! 😀

    • Eugie Foster says:

Thanks, Maggie! I like how they turned out, too. And I’m really glad that the camera seems not to have caught the color of blue my hands were turning in any of the pix. It was cold that day . . .

  7. Congrats on all the latest sales and news.
And a “very nice!” on the pics. Okay, “very sexy!” and I think I’d pick up the calendar just to see you in it. 🙂

  8. yukinooruoni says:

Eugie, you look as magnificent as ever!! 🙂

  9. mtfay says:

I like the “Eugie in a black pleather jacket next to lion”:D…And who’s the cute redhead next to you in the last pic??????

  10. matt_wallace says:

You’re far too attractive to work in a non-visual medium. And I’m not just saying that because of the gratuitous cleavage, which I appreciate separately and entirely on its own merits.

Who all is in that group shot?

    • Eugie Foster says:

Hee! Thank you. When I was younger, I did a few modeling gigs, but I am neither tall enough (at 5’5″ I’m tall for an Asian woman, but still four inches shy of the preferred model minimum) nor of the necessary inclination to be successful in that occupation.

Who all is in that group shot?

Um, lessee. Top row, left to right: Barrie (Feb.), Sabrina (July), & Ariel (Jan.). Bottom row: Yours truly (Aug.), Amber (Oct.) & Cat (Sept.).

All of us work staff in one capacity or other at Dragon*Con.

  12. Eugie, you definitely keep some good company. And congrats on the new anthology placement. Good for you for getting the story in under pressure; I remember how tough responding to some of these calls has been for you.

  13. ToC of Best New Romantic Fantasy …

    Nice!

And the photos are great. I agree with your choice of favourite.

The Wizard of Eternal Watch by Eugie Foster

    Congratulations! 😀

Smoke & Mirrors by Amanda Downum

That one sounds familiar. Strange Horizons I think.

LOVE the pics! How is the furbuddy Hobkin doing?

    • Eugie Foster says:

Hobkin’s turning from a lazy winter skunk into a stompy spring skunk. He’s wanting to wrestle (with my forearm, mostly, ouch) and stomps at us if we dare do something out of line like, say, not feed him at the exact moment that he thinks he needs to be fed. Yup.

      Same thing happening with yours?

      • alijt says:

Ha ha, yea! I came home from a trip and the guys were swarming like vultures. I love it when it warms up and I get to see them more each day. LOL
Back scratches to the little man, and a hug to you!
