Superbowl Sunday

Dammit, Patrick can’t make it. Issues involving cars, money, and an incorrect SS# on his tax return have conspired to keep him in New Orleans. Pook.

But Max really liked “Icarus Exult,” the piece I wrote for his theater company. He says he’s already got it incorporated into the program book. Going to see if I can get him to autograph the contrib. copy he’s going to send me.

Matthew, dude_the, and I watched Support Your Local Sheriff and many Firefly episodes. dude_the hadn’t ever seen Support, a situation that needed immediate rectifying. There was much guffawing.

And Hobkin has been totally cool with having unfamiliar people in his territory. Haven’t had to dope him up with Rescue Remedy or anything! He curled up for a long nap in dude_the‘s lap, even staying asleep during a relocation from computer chair to couch. Although calling either dude_the, or Kristin for that matter, “unfamiliar people” is a bit of a stretch as he’s seen more of them than anyone else aside from Matthew and me, and his godmother. It’s all good.

Today: vicarious enjoyment of a ritualistic sporting event punctuated by mildly alcoholic beverages and high-salt/high-grease foodlike products. Rah!

Outside of Patrick’s situation, sounds like all coming together nicely down there 🙂

    That’s the floppy-haired boy, right? Mmmm… I like floppy-haired boys. 🙂

LOL! Reminds me of those “cheeses” which are technically “cheese product.” Have some veggies, too, if you can keep them away from Hobkin!

Yep, that’s him. I’m so bummed he couldn’t make it! He is mmmmy, isn’t he?

I was watching Animal Planet last night at it was talking about pet skunks, this one lady had *11* pet skunks! They were SO CUTE, but I just can’t imagine having that many….

    • Eugie Foster says:

Oh, I wish I’d seen that one! And yes, skunks have cute down, most definitely. Odds are big that I know or know of the person featured on that show. The skunk-owners community isn’t that large.

Heh. Skunks are a lot like potato chips with folks . . . can’t just have one. Hobkin, though, is most certainly an “only skunk”!

  4. Support Your Local Sheriff is one of my family’s favorite movies. In fact, the trophy for our family fantasy football league is called the Millard Frymore Memorial Trophy.

Isn’t it just a great movie? It’s one of the few reasons I can’t say with blanket certainty that “I don’t like Westerns.” It’s the exceptions that always getcha . . .
