Writing Stuff

Writing Stuff

Received my first response from the batch of agent queries I sent out, and it’s a request for the whole manuscript! It’s a long way from an offer of representation, but at least it’s validation that my query didn’t totally suck goats. Mailed off the full manuscript; now it’s all about the waiting. Again. *crosses fingers*

Also saw that the completed cover of “Inspirations End/Still My Beating Heart” is up on the Scrybe Press site in the available listing:

If you’re not going to Fantasm, you can order your very own copy. $3.49 with FREE S&H!

  1. Yay for full manuscript requests! We’ll keep our fingers crossed.

    And, re: the chapbook . . .

    Bwah! I’ve been waiting!

    *orders*

Personally, I’d be quite intrigued to see a query that “totally sucks goats.” I think that would be rather an accomplishment.

You really don’t want to see something of that magnitude of sucking. It leads to traumatized goats, which is always rather scary, not to mention sad for the goats.

    Yeah!

Congrats on the request! Sending vibes that the agent will accept it.

who did you send the queries to? It took about a week, apparently, from sending to them wanting to see the manuscript–that’s pretty awesome, or at least I thinks!! Good omen!!

  5. Congrats on the request, Eugie! That’s definitely a sign your query letter pops! I bet it’s fantastic. I hope you let hobkin sign it with a paw print for luck. 🙂

So… I think I must have missed your posts on this, but what project are you querying for? A novel, I assume? Is it the first one you’re trying to publish? *nosy*

    😀

    • Eugie Foster says:

The query is for a middle-grade fantasy novel. And yep, it’s the first agent-worthy effort I’ve got. I really think it’s one of the best things I’ve written to date, so I’ve got high hopes that it’ll find a good home.

  6. Okay, that’s *very* cool about the agent, Eugie!! I’ll be crossing my fingers for you!

    ~Maggie 😀
