Sinner, Baker, Fabulist, Priest Now in French in Ténèbres 2010

Thanks to the fabulous Jason Sanford for dropping me a line letting me know that “Sinner, Baker, Fabulist, Priest; Red Mask, Black Mask, Gentleman, Beast” is now out in the French anthology Ténèbres 2010!

Tenebres 2010

Scary cover. Shiny ToC:

“Le seuil” by Glynn Barrass
“Noël en Enfer” by Orson Scott Card
“Coupe” by Dena M. Martin
“Charles” by Steve Rasnic Tem
“Terry et le loup-garou” by William Peter Blatty
“Entretien avec William Peter Blatty” by Brian Freeman
“Les Morts avec les morts” by Jean-Pierre Planque
“Les Faucheurs” by Jason Sanford
“De l’importance d’un grain de sable pour traverser le royaume des morts” by Aurélie Ligier
“Cendres” by Laird Long
“Masques” by Eugie Foster

Interesting title translations. In addition to my (admittedly rather unwieldy) title being rendered down to just “Masques,” the English title of Jason’s story, “Here We Are, Falling Through Shadows,” also got radically shortened to just “Les Faucheurs.”

My French language skills are pathetic and worthy only of mockery and finger pointing, but I’m going to try to read through the translation anyway—counting rather heavily on the “wrote the @#$!% thing in English” factor—when my contrib. copy gets in. Let the anticipatory mailbox stalking begin!
