Little Pictures

Thanks to the unexpected munificence of benefactors known and unknown, I spent most of yesterday gleefully making scores of little LJ icons.

It’s amazing how much fun that was. I am, unabashedly, a geek. And receiving the tacit support and encouragement for my humble blogging efforts really made my weekend.

Thank you.

Writing Stuff:

Well, I didn’t get much writing done, but I’m beginning to hear back from the Tangent reviewers I inherited. Some of them are planning on going inactive, which I knew, but it means I shall need to start actively recruit fiction reviewers soon.

Saw that “Perfidious Beauty” will be the lead story in the Embark to Madness anthology, which delights me. The editor said they’re aiming for a May or June publication date, so I won’t have it by Fantasm, but will for Dragon*Con.

Maybe I’ll manage to finagle some words on the page today.

I’d love to help, especially if you need someone to review hard sci-fi. 😉

can I volunteer too? I was originally going to preface this with something like “because you probably have scores of dragon-con people just itching to take these positions, what would a humble california resident have to do to be so considered?” But, if you’re just snatching people–I’ll happily wave my hand in the air like a maniac….

Yes, you can volunteer too! Can you email me your address as well as what magazines (if any) you currently subscribe to, and what your preferences in reviewing short fiction are (e.g. horror, fantasy, or science fiction)?

  3. volunteering for Tangent

If you’re short on people, I’ve met good writers here at Clarion, just let me know what you need.

And of course, I’m still on board. 🙂

      Re: volunteering for Tangent

It’d be great if you could just make sure you get their contact information, maybe see who might be so inclined to write fiction reviews and what their preferences are. Of course, that’s a way low priority to your Clarion adventures right now. We can email about it when you get back!

I’d be happy to help with the fiction reviews. My English degree is twitching at the possibility of usage. I’ll email you.
