Drove Nick to the airport on Thursday so he could fly back to Florida. Nick’s gone. Pook. dude_the is still here though. Hurray! Everyone’s asleep. Even Hobkin’s curled up in a fuzzy oval in my lap. Mornings are pretty solitary times for me, even when the house is full.
I’m feeling much better today. My Rheumatologist doubled my Prednisone dosage and my flare-up seems to be receding. Although I have the twitches from the upped meds. Trade-offs.
I was puttering around with some of the pix people took at Fantasm of me.
Here’s one that that Al Cantrell took of me and Cloei, webmistress of the Nekkid Nerds website. Cloei’s a real sweetie and during my first Fantasm when I was all scared and shy, she hung out with me and eased my “bunch of strangers all around me, what do I say, what do I do?” stressing.
This is one of my favorites. Remy (Cliff Hearn) of Woolly Cat’s Hollow took this one of Starchild and me in the lobby over by registration. The illusion wasn’t planned, but rather serendipity paired with a sharp eye behind the camera lens.
I think it really looks like we’re in some dark fantasy forest glade, but as you can see from the background of this shot, we’re just in front of a big ole landscape picture:
Here’s a few more that Al took. The first one is actually from a shoot in Pimpdaddy Lee’s room. I did a little posing for them both. The second shows my boots from hell to good effect. I love how they look, but those boots just about crippled me. Usually high heels don’t bother me, but for some reason, these really hurt. And the last one I just liked my expression.
The shot of your reflection in the landscape picture is amazing! This is the kind of stuff that inspires fantasy tales, alright.
My favorite, though, is the one in the middle where you have the big smile on your face. It’s a wonderful picture of you!
Thanks! Remy and Starchild were trying to make me laugh and Remy said something really goofy that cracked me up (danged but I can’t remember it now), and before I knew it, he’d snapped that shot. I really like it too. I don’t have that many shots of me laughing. I’m very camera conscious and tend to put on one of a handful of expressions when I see a lens swiveling at me.
That’s my favorite as well!
I love that landscape one!
Me too! Remy and Starchild and I were all excited when we saw how that one came out (the magic of digital cameras, woo!)
very nice photos, Eugie. you look absolutely gorgeous. I particularly love the one you’re not looking at the camera, kinda like candid shots — 3rd photo — pretty smile
