My brain is cracking. Totally blanked on the word “espadrille” today. Kept coming up with “trebuchet” instead.
So wrong: “I just LOVE those trebuchets you’re wearing.”
Hm. But I do like the sound of “Espadrilles of War.”

I love the idea of a wearable trebuchet.
Hmm. Well, the espadrilles I’m wearing lace up my ankles. Maybe there’s a way to rig the laces into some catapult configuration? Or use the shoe as a sling? Although that’s not nearly as heavy duty as a trebuchet…
See, a trebuchet sounds much more like an article of clothing than an espadrille. An espadrille sounds like some kind of earth-moving war engine. 😉 A trebuchet seems like it should be a cunning hat.
