Woohoo!! Just got a call from Stephen Eley, the editor/publisher of Escape Pod. They were running a trivia contest giving away a pair of tickets to the June 23rd Serenity preview. We entered and we won! We’re going to see Serenity on Thursday!!
We’re going to see Serenity!
Escape Pod rocks, and not just because they’re giving us tickets. I downloaded all their podcasts and loved them. My favorite was “Snow Day” written by jenwrites. I’m really hoping to break into this market because I think it would be so cool to get one of my stories turned into a podcast. Go forth and download some excellent mp3 fiction! It’s free!
Congratulations! Excellent prize!
Yeah, I’ve got to get something back out to Escape Pod too… I want to be an MP3!
Thanks! I’m really excited about Escape pod as a publication. I’ve thought before that the concept of audio books for short stories is an excellent one. It’s great that someone’s doing it, and doing it so well!
Not to mention, of course, that they’re giving us Serenity tickets!
I saw the Cinco De Mayo screening. I’m keen to know what you and Matthew think of it!
I’m sure Matthew will be posting a review of it on his fosteronfilm.com website. I expect he’ll be twitching to write his review as soon as the end credits start rolling.
It’s an unfinished film. There aren’t any end credits.
You know, I think commenting in your journal has become my favorite sport.
Bad Glenn. No biscuit!
w00t!
You are SO lucky. 🙂
Woohoo! *happy dancing*
Whoo hoooooo! I get to see it, too, on Thursday, though we had to PAY for our tickets 🙂
Yay! It’s going to be the most watched movie before-it-even-premiers evah!
Awesome!! Congratulations, Eugie!!
Thanks!
i think i’m going to be going with to see it Thursday night at 10 since someone in his group has an extra ticket. i’m hoping i’ll get it, since i never caught any episodes of the show… eeep!
however, that’s my birthday, so perhaps someone will take pity on me and explain what i don’t understand…
1. Happy Birthday on Thursday!
2. You’ve never seen any of the Firefly episodes. Ohmygod! You need to camp out with someone who has the DVD set and watch them all before Thursday! Joss Whedon said he wrote the screenplay for Serenity so that everyone would find is accessible, not just the Firefly fans. But I think you’ll enjoy seeing Serenity so much more after seeing the whole season. It’s a FANTASTIC series. Such a crime that Fox pulled the plug on it.
I always want to see Serenity, I heard it’s a good movie. Ah, someday.
